Sunday worship- July 23
I had the opportunity to do something a little different today. As usual, I opened God's Word and taught at both our morning worship services. But, this evening I went to New Spring in Anderson to hear a new pastor frined, Garry Lamb. He is the pastor of Ridgestone Church located in Canton Georgia. Garry was asked to speak at New Spring and I went to hear him in person. He did a great job thanking New Spring for helping so many church plants and for not being scared to be different.
After wards we went to Logan's and had a steak. It was good just hanging out and talking about our churches. I'm going to Canton in a few weeks during their 3rd year anniversary. Why, because they meet in a theater and God is all over their church. Here comes the really scary part. Garry and I are a lot alike. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they are reaching so many unchurched people. I'm going to spend the night and hang out with Garry and his staff on Monday.
Here are some random thoughts from today:
1. Thought both our services went really well today.
2. I believe Jesus Christ was glorified and pleased.
3. Sergio Garcia choked and lost the British Open. Felt sorry for him.
4. Laying on the couch and doing nothing for a while was great.
5. I hate seeing empty seats during worship. Each seat represents someone who needs to know about Jesus.
6. Busy week ahead with VBS. It's gonna be good though.
7. Need to get up and go work out but it ain't gonna happen today.
8. Selling my jeep so I washed it spotless.
9. Already looking forward to family Day next Sunday.
10. Need some rain. Grass looks awful.
