September 30th was an awesome day at 5 Point Fellowship.  Felt as if God was all over our three worship services.  I wasn't sure how such a frank discussion of sex would turn out.  The encouraging remarks about Sunday have been overwhelming.  I had an 80 year old woman take me by the arm Sunday morning and explain that she has been in church her entire life and never heard such a Godly and frank message about sex.  Thanked me for it.  That pumped me up.  Wish I could share more details about decisions that were made but I can't betray someones trust.  Please know this, God is changing lives!

Sent 9 visitor letters out this morning.  Realize some of these are families.  I know of three or four visitors who didn't feel a connect card out.  There could have been more.  Great job inviting friends and family.  Remember, it's our job to bring the unchurched to Christ.  Keep up the good work!

Sunday night was just as encouraging for me.  We baptized 6 more adults into the family of God.  That is 21 baptisms in the past few weeks.  That is exciting.  But we've only scratched the surface.  We walk by, work with, live next door to thousands of hurting people.  My hearts desire is to reach as many as possible through the ministry of 5 Point Fellowship.

We finished the evening by teaching and taking part in the Lords Supper.  I always enjoy helping people understand why we do this.  Already received e-mails and comments on how people enjoyed and learned the real meaning behind the Lord's Supper.

Afterward we had some great fellowship and food.  Even better was that more people signed up for home teams.  These are people with a desire to get plugged in and do more than just attend.

I don't know about you but I think we had an awesome day yesterday.

* Andrew, Chad, Joseph and I took the top of my jeep and went four wheeling yesterday afternoon

* so pretty yesterday didn't even take a nap
* want to kill a deer so bad I can't stand it - need some land to hunt
* talking about parenting this week - always a heart felt topic
* do we need some rain or what?
* Jacob (my 8 year old) really getting close to accepting Christ
* Lawson & Michelle are doing a great job with our children.
   I gotta video tape a Sunday and show you a portion of it on a Sunday
* Just went outside to stretch - it is stinking gorgeous
* fasting today for our church and for wisdom
* thank you Lord Jesus for blessing my life so wonderfully
* Jacob only has two football games and playoffs left.  He loves it
* Jacob got a crew cut yesterday - looks great
* Hudson ran across a crowded room Saturday straight to me and gave me the biggest hug.  
   That'll break a 6'6" 290 pound man's heart right there
* Encouraging Lawson and Michelle to give me more grand children
* Tim is doing a great job at 5 Point.  He's been here since the start and until the end.
* Got tickets for Saturday's game.  Gonna be fun
