October 22 - Sunday thoughts
Felt as if God truly spoke to a lot of people yesterday. Feel this way for several reasons:
First, everyone deals with storms during life. We've all asked God why this certain event is going on at this point in our life. Anytime we discuss storms in our life people listen. Second, the comments after both services helped me to understand just how powerfully God moved in peoples lives. Not sure how many people told me they really needed to hear that message. Thank you Lord Jesus for laying this topic on my heart.
Third, I could see the look in people's eyes and hear the tears during the last song. (The band did an awesome job Sunday - WOW is all I can say) I truly missed worshiping at 5 Point last Sunday. It was great to hear our band leading us in worship and being able to open God's Word with you.
I'm just as excited about this Sunday. We're going to look into our attitudes. I know this probably won't effect any of you because we all have such great attitudes. RIGHT! Please be praying for me as I work on sexual based messages. Always hard to write these. Pray for God's leading and protection. I know I kid around a lot about sex - but it is no laughing matter.

* building another children's church area upstairs - great problem
* Tigers looked great Saturday - remember it was Central Michigan
* just found out I got box tickets for the Wake Forest game
* Bonnie, my mother-in-law, is here for the week. I'm lucky, I actually love my mother-in-law
* Have you ever wondered why traveling makes you so tired
* After South Carolina lost Saturday I didn't say one word to anyone - I was a good boy
* Our church is really taking some heat right now - to be expected
* I haven't been deer hunting yet. First time I haven't hunted in October in over 20 years
* Have you ever wondered why God blesses you in such an incredible way? I often wonder why?

* Played golf Sunday with Tim, Lawson and Andrew. Shot an 80 and beat Andrew by 7 strokes. (First time in a
while) Should have shot a 78 but double bogeyed 18. MAJOR CHOKE!
* Looking forward to fall weather. Been hot and dry for so long
* Gained four pounds while I was gone. I'm at 294. Getting serious about losing weight once again. 280
before Thanksgiving. That would be a total of 40 pounds. Would love to weigh 270 before Christmas.
