October 30, Thoughts on Sunday
I realize today is Tuesday and I didn't write yesterday. Let me be honest about yesterday. I set the alarm for 5:30 am and spent a couple of hours reading the Bible and praying. Basically just hung out with God. After bathing (always on Monday mornings regardless) I took Jacob to school. I finished up all my thoughts for this Sunday morning's message before the staff arrived. A little after 9:00 we met a couple hours for the Victorious Secrets series. It is going to be so much fun talking about sex for the next three weeks. A little after 11:00 Tim and I headed to Clemson to play in a FCA golf tournament. It was Lawson, Tim, Curtis and myself. What a beautiful day and we actually won the tournament. My back is hurting form carrying those guys around all day.
Alright, I'm just kidding. I did help the team with several shots. Afterward we went to the Clemson Chinese buffet. What a great way to end an awesome day. Upon getting home I played X-box with my son, read and prayed with him before tucking into bed. Soooooo, I didn't have time to write. Please forgive me.
Really thought God spoke to ME Sunday morning. I am the world's worst at having a bad attitude at times. Really working on that. I believe God spoke to more than just myself Sunday. Thanks for the encouraging words about Sunday.
Hated to end the service by sharing that Terry will be leaving in two weeks. That guy can sing. He has really helped with graphics and he is truly one of the most creative guys I've ever been around. Gonna miss you dude. Already praying for God to use you as you minister to many with your awesome gift of music. Feel free to let Terry know just how much you appreciate his being at 5 Point the past year. Please pray for God to help us find the right people to replace Terry. Looking for some part time help in the areas of singing and technology.
You still have Tim, Michelle & Lawson and myself. We're still here and love being a part of this church more than ever.

* The Tigers looked good Saturday.
* Fell asleep while watching the Gamecocks. Woke up and it was tied. Fell asleep and they had lost.
* I got box tickets for the Wake Forest game. Great football with FREE food while hanging out with my son.
* Going to hunt some this weekend and I'm pumped.
* The cool weather feels so good. Actually had frost on windshield this morning.
* I hate Halloween. Makes me think of evil. Enough of that in America already.
* Scared for our country. Presidential elections scare me even more.
* After 27 years of marriage I love Debbie more & more.
* Keep encouraging Michelle and Lawson to give me more grand babies.
* Washed my truck at Pumpers today-looks good.
* Back been hurting really bad. Doc said to try sleeping on floor so I have several nights. Actually helped. Went
to Lowes and bought a sheet of plywood to put under mattress. I'd rather do that than sleep on floor. Deb
won't sleep in floor with me.
* I've started working out and dieting again. Gotta get to 280 before Thanksgiving.
* I hate trying to lose weight. Being FAT is so much fun.
* Reading unChristian and it rocks.
* Tim just ordered the book, Making Vision Stick by Andy Stanley. That guy is awesome.
* Pray for me this week. Writing sex messages is fun but tough.
* Amazes me how many churches are scared to speak about sex.
* I have to confront someone this week and hate doing that kind of stuff. But, Matthew 18 instructs us to do so.
* Getting ready to go run and lift weights. Gotta bring the weight down.
* Keep encouraging Michelle and Lawson to give me more grand babies.
