Novemeber 1 - Trunk or Treat

Satan is the best at taking something meant for good and turning it into evil.  It is only fair we begin to do the same thing.  I had stated before I hate Halloween.  Not the candy but where it originates and everything it stands for.  But, it was used for the glory of God last night.

Don't have an actual count because no one counted, but I'd be willing to bet my boat there we're over one thousand people that walked through our parking lot last night.  Every child that received candy also received a 5 Point invitation card and the adults we're given a "Victorious Secrets" flier.  I had the opportunity to speak and meet with hundreds of people.  Several toured the building and were amazed at how the Colony looks compared to before our renovations.  What an awesome night for 5 Point when usually its a night of evil and mischief.

As I stood in the parking lot looking at all the people who had their trunks opened, decorated and full of candy it was gratifying to see so many new faces and trunks.  Thank you to:
Curtis & Karen Middleton, Tim & Cheryl Nares, Rosie, Leslie & Nicole Aiken, Stephen & Lisa Powell, Grant & Allena Holder, Keith & Elizabeth Nicholson, Donnie & Kathy Lostraglio, Terry & Shannon Wood, Becky Kingery, Bethany & Chuck Greene, Scott & Ashley Cummings, Denise Dyer, LaVelle & Latrice Pitts, Larry & Patti Durham.  The majority of these people weren't at 5 Point a year ago.

We're going to blow out Halloween next year.  Already have 10 blow ups reserved.  We'll have hot dogs for everyone-FREE!  Let the band play a few songs, have some really cool give aways, face painting, cotton candy, the works.  Think of the unchurched people that would come to us all on the devils day!  I'm already looking forward to Halloween.

Please start or continue to pray for God to do something special during our Victorious Secrets series.
