December 21, Random Thoughts

A lot has been going through my warped mind lately.  Allow me to share some of the more sane stuff.
* Christmas is almost here and I haven't bought one gift.  YES!  Deb does all the shopping and loves it.
She wants a set of dishes (she picked out) and I have one other gift I'll buy today.
* Meeting with a bunch of pastors in Anderson today for lunch.  Sharing ideas and discussing church growth.
* Wish it would snow.
* Really excited about Christmas Eve.  Serving the guys at Home with A heart.
* Looking forward to a couple days off next week.  The church office will be closed Monday & Tuesday.
* Reading a lot lately.  Hear more about this later.
* The family and I are attending Newspring Sunday evening.  Can't wait to worship and have no responsibilities.
* I am so blessed, in every way.  Thank you Jesus.
* I've been running a lot lately.  Ran 5 days last week and this week.  Run 45 minutes at least twice.
* Gotta get serious about dieting again in January.  Lost 30 in 07 and 30 more in 08.
* Have you looked over your goals form last year to see if you attained them?  I did.
* December 30th is going to be an awesome Sunday to make you think about the upcoming year.
* Met with possible staff member this week.  Praying big time for God's guidance.
* Spent a great deal of time in prayer this week.  Really asking God to lead me and 5 Point down the correct path.
* When I think about the journey thus far with 5 Point I get excited.  When I think about the future, I get jacked
up!  Believe 2008 is going to be an awesome year.
* Praying for our biggest offering ever this Sunday.  The number sticking in my head has been $10,000.
Wouldn't it be awesome to give away $10,000 to other ministries and charities.  Pray about your part.
* As much as I love Christmas, I know others dread it.
* Football bowls start tonight.  YES!
* Tigers have had some bad press past couple days with athletes failing and getting into trouble.  I hate
   when that happens.
* Heard a song on the radio this morning that about brought tears to my eyes.  I can't remember the name.  It
was a bout a little girl asking Santa to bring back her Dad from Iraq for Christmas.  Please pray with me about
the dire situation in Iraq and our next president.
* Watched We are Marshall with the family last night.  I'd encourage anyone to watch that movie.
* Going to see National treasure 2 this weekend.
* Really excited about this Sunday, the worship time is gonna rock.  Don't forget, only one service at 10:30.
SEE YOU SUNDAY
