January 4, Confessions & Goals

This Sunday we are launching a new teaching series called “Confessions of a Pastor” and I could NOT be anymore nervous and excited at the same time.  I am holding nothing back this Sunday as I am going to be sharing with you some confessions that will surprise some of you, shock some of you, and actually encourage you to know you aren’t the only one who struggles with the things you struggle with.

I am jacked up about this series.  We have mailed a post card to anyone that has ever attended 5 Point but hasn't been here in a while.  Have posters for you to put out around town and everyone received invitation cards last Sunday.  I have been begging God to kick off 2008 off in a BIG WAY!!!

During the beginning of a new year people are more acceptable to an invitation to church than a lot of other times.  Let's take this awesome opportunity and INVITE!  Reassure people this is a series where the pastor is not looking down on anyone but himself.  We'll be handing out brownies to everyone during the worship service.  You'll have to come and find out why!

With the new year comes new goals.  Thought you might enjoy some of the goals I've set for 2008.
