March 20, Jesus predictions
I have had an awesome week of study and prayer in preparing for this weeks message. I am so excited about what God has in store for all of us. I wanted to share some of the verses I found and studied. These would make for an awesome devotion time!
Jesus predictions of His Resurrection:
Matthew 12:38-40; 16:21; 17;9; 17:22-23; 20:18-19; 26:32; 27;63
Mark 8:31-9:1; 9:10; 9:31; 10:32-34; 14:28; 58
Luke 9:22-27
John 2:18-22; 12:34; chapters 14-16
Jesus was pretty intense about letting others know why He was here.
Don't forget to invite, invite and invite.
Want to share some good news with you. A friend came by the church today to bring me some 5 gallon buckets. A man can never have too many buckets. I needed them for some fishing stuff. Anyway we were talking about who he was going to bring this Sunday. He hopes his Mom will be coming down for a visit. That reminded him of a story about his Mom.
She came and visited a few months ago. She is a member at a Methodist church in her home town. A good ways from here. I shared with George that I bet our style of worship was a little different and that she probably didn't enjoy it. HE let me know quickly it was quit the opposite. In fact, since attending 5 Point she has left her church and found one similar to ours. Told her son church didn't have to be boring.
That kind of stuff jacks me up. Our church is effecting people who live a couple hours from here.
Did I mention to invite unchurched family and friends.
Last thing. God answered some serious prayers today. A young lady came by the church to audition for Tim and I. Told her to pretend I was Simon. She can bring it! She'll practice with te band starting next week. She'll take some pressure off Tim and Liz! Thank you Jesus.
