April 23, Orlando Conference
Tim and I are in Orlando at a church planters conference. We're staying at a time share from a couple in the church. You would think all time shares would come with internet access, but that isn't the case. Thus the reason for not writing the past couple of days.
Monday was our travel day. Tuesday the conference began. Andy Stanley was the main speaker and as usual he did a great job. His topic was vision. A topic all church planters need to hear on a regular basis. 5 points of the message:
1. State it simply
2. Cast it convincingly
3. Repeat it regularly
4. Celebrate consistently
5. Embrace it personally & publically
This morning Tom Nebel from Wisconsin spoke about the pastor being visible in te community. Very good for me to hear and to begin implementing into my life and ministry.
Rick Warren concludes the conference tomorrow afternoon. I always enjoy listening to someone God has used in such an incredible way. As much as I enjoy getting away and learning, I ALWAYS look forward to getting home.
If we can find inter net service (in a coffee house now) I'll write some more but if not I'll write upon returning to South Carolina.
