May 15, Circle J Fellowship

Circle J Fellowship is a cowboy church Pastored by Steven McManis.  They are roughly four months old and have 30 40 plus attending.  They've been meeting in the Old Anderson Meat market located on 178 coming into Liberty.  The store is shutting down and this leaves a new church plant with no where to meet.  Steven and Tim are real good friends and as Tim was telling me about this my first inclination was to immediately begin praying for them.  Then the Holy Spirit, common sense, light bulb (whatever you want to call it) hit me.  We have an awesome building for worship that isn't being used on Sunday evenings.  Why not help another church the same way we've been helped.  I offered our building to Steven and he was jacked up.

Circle J is willing to help with any projects going on at 5 Point.  I only asked that they leave the building as they found it.  Clean up after themselves.  We won't be charging them anything for the first couple of months.  They need to get on their feet first.  I hope we never have to charge them.  The Bible is very clear on that subject, "you want to receive, then give."

I plan on attending a worship service myself when not in a home group.  Steven and his family have been to 5 Point on several occasions.  Next time he is here I'll introduce he and his family to all of you.  Just wanted everyone to know what was going on at the church on Sunday evenings.
