August 1, Hurting for people

I can't imagine myself doing anything else than pastoring 5 Point Fellowship.  I love what God has called me to do and what God is doing.  But, there are days I just hurt for people, not just our people but people in general.
Allow me to share you what I mean:
* Wednesday evening as I was leaving the church a couple had called because their child had broken her arm.  Went by and checked on them.
* Walked in the door at home and a young man called broken over the death of his 22 year old sister.  She was leaving behind two small  children.  Members of the family are mad with God.  A young Christian trying to make sense of it himself.
* Several men have backed out of attending Promise Keepers.  Don't have the money.
* Another couple not sure if they can even make their house payment.
* Three marriages just this week not sure if they'll make it through the week.
* Another man admitting to living off credit cards.  Going deeper and deeper into debt.  Unhappy with life.

The list could go on.  My heart aches for people.  I can never truly understand the sorrow Jesus must have felt as he was willing to give them everything including his life in order for them to have life.  There are times in scripture that describes Jesus sorrow as he wept, heart broken for his people.

I thank Jesus Christ EVERY day for the peace and happiness He and He alone has given me.

Some thoughts:
* My baby girl turned 28 today.  Am I really that old?
* Getting ready to attend Promise Keepers with a bunch of our men.  Looking forward to our trip.
* Sunday morning is going to be an awesome worship experience.
* In the process of putting together a ministry to help people addicted to porn.  You would be amazed at the number of
   people dealing with this addiction.
* Daniel will be leading us in worship a couple of songs this Sunday.  You may start seeing him more often.
We gotta find Tim some help.  He does so much.
