October 20, Thoughts on Sunday

I'm not sure where to even begin.  Powerful day at 5 Point.  We didn't just take part in the Lord's Supper but experienced it.  Was overwhelmed by the way God moved among His people during worship.  Had sooooo many people tell me thank you for explaining the meaning of the Lord's Supper and not just doing it.  I love pastoring a church where people are hungry to be taught the Word of God.

Some highlights of the day:
* Worship was awesome.  Thought Daniel sounded the best he has thus far.  He and Tim singing Amazing garce
   together brought me to tears.
* Watching hundreds of people taking part in the Lord' Supper.  So many tears.  So much appreciation for what
   Jesus did for us.
* As I stood behind the screen in the dark by myself during worship I literally experienced God.  Gave me
   such a freedom to teach and not care what anyone thought but Christ himself.  I about had a spell!
* Children's side had 150.  Praying about hiring someone part time to help Michelle and Ann.  Only thing holding
   us back, money.  Great vision has a great price.
* We continue to have a ton of visitors.  Not sure why.  Good thing, they keep coming back.
* Attendance was great.
* Absolutely beautiful day.
* Jacob, my ten year old took part in the Lord's Supper for the first time.  Andrew, my 20 year old led our family in
   prayer afterward.  Saw Lawson and Michelle taking part at another table later.  Thank you Father God that all
   our family is part of your kingdom and church.
* Ann is doing a great job of getting people plugged in.  I continue to see new faces serving.
* Burl had two or emen speak to him about porn problems.
* Lives are being changed.
* Dwain had an awesome crowd for his first Sunday evening youth event.  Praying for God to use him in a great
   way.  Praying about Dwain coming on board more then part time.  Praying for revival among our youth.

We start our question/answer series this Sunday.  Top questions asked from our people (in no certain order):
1. Can Christians drink alcohol?
2. A multitude of questions on divorce.
3. How can I know for sure I'm saved?
4. Once saved, always saved?
5. If someone commits suicide will they go to heaven?
6. Why does the church always want my money?
7. When babies die do they go to heaven?
8. A multitude of sexual questions.

There were dozens of really good questions.  I plan on trying to answer two or three questions at the beginning of each message.  This series is going to be a lot of fun.
