Novemebr 25, Life Change
Last week I received a few e-mails questioning the things we do and the way we do them. I use to get really upset about those types of e-mails but not any more. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. One of the really cool things is that we've been receiving a lot more really positive e-mails than negative. Hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did.
___________ has finally healed from serious church hurt a few years ago. She is more mature about it than ever too. She's breaking lots of bad habits and relationships and sharing with people all the time about what she is learning at church and invites like crazy. She won't do anything with friends on Saturday evening that keeps her out late and tells them why.
Tithing is part of her life now.
I'm part of a Bible study of random folks on Wednesday nights now that includes 2 of my buddies one of which goes to New Spring and we compare notes a lot! : ) First time in years that I actually look forward to going to church and have no problem getting up to go. It's no longer an obligation but a privilege. I love loud music and all styles of it too. We believe at my house that the man should lead also
Meeting society where they are is very important....your comment about Paul's missionary journeys was so on target. People need to know how to live Biblical principles today.
Thanks for doing what you do and doing it the way you do it!
A few other thoughts:
* Leaving in a little while and heading to Virginia for the Thanksgiving holidays. Really looking forward to a time of rest and
relaxation. Had hoped to play gold but it supposed to be snowing. Oh well.
* Had an awesome time with God this morning. I love my early mornings with no one but me and God.
* This Sunday is going to rock. Make plans to be there. i realize some will be traveling.
* We have a couple new elements planned this Sunday that will help bring the message home.
* Tim is leaving today on a well deserved vacation.
* This church has no idea all that Tim does. He is my friend, brother in the ministry and my right arm. Love you Tim. Have a great
vacation and be nice to Miss Erica.
* I hope not to be near inter net the next few days so I probably won't be writing anything until Friday when we get back.
* Clemson vs South Carolina this Saturday. Nothing else needs to be said.
