December 2, MORE

Started the morning off early hanging out with God.  At 7:00 am met with five coaches for our weekly accountabilty time and Bible study.  We're making our way through the book of Exodus and trying to learn how to become a better leader from one of the best leaders in scripture, Moses.  Swam and ran in pool and headed to the office.  I would have lifted but forgot a shirt.  Don't think they would have wanted me in weight room with no shirt.  Not a pretty sight.

Didn't have time to pray at home due to reading for an hour so I prayed in my office.  For some reason I began praying for more and it continued for quite a while.  I want to share with you some of the thinks I'm praying more of for our church and myself.

Father God, please give us more:
* salvations and baptisms.  May we never be happy or content until our entire community is reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
* visitors every sunday who have never heard the name of Jesus
* people who are discontent with church and looking for somewhere that can make a difference in their life.
* knowledge of your Word this month through the series, "Jesus 4 Dummies."
* miracolous miracles in marriage and families.
* passion and zeal for the lost than we've ever had.
* musicians & vocalist to better lead our people in worship (the ones we have are awesome just need more).
* volunteers in the children's and youth ministries.
* staff as we need them.
* people getting involved into Home Groups.
* people trusting you with their finances because great vision has a great price.
* space as we outgrow this building.  We need land or a building.
* people with a true desire to beg you for your will to be done in this community
* life change
* repentance in our people
* opportunites to serve people in our community

Father God personally give me more:
* vision
* passion
* of a desire to please you
* of a desire to be Holy
* food through my Bible study and prayer time so I will have an overflow to feed our people
* leadership skills
* compassion for hurting people
* patience

I could go on but I think you understand that I truly desire MORE for our church!
