January 12, Thoughts on Sunday
We started our newest series entitled, "What if." The entire series will be based on vision and the direction of our church. 5 Point has a lot of momentum right now and we need to ride the wave. Some thoughts on yesterdays worship experience.
* Missed speaking last week and really enjoyed teaching today.
* Great energy in both services. 9:15 was little dead at beginning but picked up.
* Told our story and it was the first time the majority of people had heard it.
* Saw a bunch of visitors form last weeks movie.
* We're on the verge of setting all time attendance records.
* Had A LOT of people wanting to serve somewhere at 5 Point. That is awesome.
* Life change took place during the invitation. Hundreds prayed for Jesus to take away that one area they're holding back.
* The video shown at end of service showing where we've been the past four years was great.
* We've come so far in the past four years, but still so much to do.
* I meant what I said about the offering time, "we should be excited about the opportunity to give."
* We truly need the rain, but I'm ready to see the sun shine on Sunday morning.
* Attend was a little down in 9:15. We need your help in getting more to early service to free up seats for 11:00.
* Stage looked great.
* Met a lot of new people today. Trying to learn names but so many new faces.
* Sunday evening was just as good. Marriages are being saved and improved.
* The youth had an awesome time last night. Great crowd and heard Dwain tore it up.
* I love seeing teens all over this building on Sunday mornings and evenings.
* We had close to 800 between the three services.
* I truly believe we'll be in three morning services by Easter.
* The Kid Zone was rocking. Those people love Jesus and children. Special thank you to every volunteer.
Some other thoughts:
* Michelle is close to having that baby.
* Went home yesterday and slept three hours. I've never done that. Still a little under the weather.
* Getting excited about next series, "Faboulous." First woman series I've ever done.
* This Sunday is going to rock. Talking about just how much faith we really have.
* Meeting with my coaches early in the morning. First time in four weeks. Missed those guys.
* Praying for the year 2009 to be something like we've never experienced before.
* Dwain, (youth pastor) just left feeling really bad. Pray for him.
* Need everyone to get into theater a few minutes earlier on Sunday mornings. Noticed people having trouble getting through
the crowd.
* It is 12:00, I'm hungry and the staff is waiting on me.
