January 20, Thoughts on Sunday

God is doing so many awesome things with His church right now and continues to do so at 5 Point Fellowship.  Here are a few of
my thoughts on this past Sunday:

* Life change took place and that is what its all about.
* Worship was awesome.  I love standing behind the screen and watching people sing praises to Jesus.
* Felt as if the people were tuned into every word God had laid on my heart.
* The song Terry wrote and sang Sunday was incredible.  Brought the message home.
* Opening video was perfect(bear moon walking while people passed basketball) because it showed all of us that its
easy to miss the something when were not looking for it.
* With the snow & cold temperatures was scared the staff and I would be only people here.  I was wrong!
We actually had more in the first service than last week.
* One year ago on the exact Sunday it snowed.  This year we had close to 200 more people and our offering doubled.
God never ceases to amaze me.
* Kid Zone continues to rock.
* Be praying for all our Kid Zone volunteers.  Michelle will be having her baby any day and will be out for a few weeks.
They will do great because all of them love Jesus and kids.
* Announced that we will no longer be allowing children into main auditorium.  A few e-mails and phone calls with
parents upset.  I understand their view.  Truly hope no one leaves over this.  But, were that serious about reaching a lost
and dying world for Jesus.  And we want children learning about the King also.  (See last Fridays blog about this)

Sunday night
* I am blown away by what God is doing Sunday nights.
* We had over 50 with the youth.  Heard Dwain did an awesome job speaking.
* Jeremy Bigham led worship.  Way to get out of your boat and try something new Jeremy.
* I'm not sure how many attended the Fire Proofing your marriage class but we had a bunch.
* What happened Sunday night was nothing but a God thing.  We discussed that to love your spouse we have to know love,
that being Jesus Christ.  Felt really led to give an invitation.  Hands went up all over the auditorium.  Tears flowing everywhere.
Lives were changed.  Marriages will be better because of what God did Sunday night.  I am jacked up about what God is doing
   right now.
* Burl had a home group leaders meeting Monday evening that went great also.  New groups getting started with more people
   getting involved.

Let me promise you something right now.  Sunday is going to be as good as they come.  Talking about something every person
has to deal with.  Be here.  Bring friends.  Pray that God speaks to me this week during preparation.
