March 13, Unleashed

Yesterday was an incredible day for the 30 plus people who joined me at Unleashed held at New Spring in Anderson, SC.  Pastor Perry Noble spoke in both main sessions and did a wonderful job.  He spoke about the church in the first session.  Here are the questions he asked us:
1. Are we willing to embrace change?
2. Are we willing to work?
3. Are we serious about reaching the world?
He spoke on churches being consumed with numbers, and they should because numbers are souls.

In the second session Perry ask four questions of all leaders in the church?
1. Are you behind your pastor?
2. Am I pleasing God?
3. Is God showing up in your Sunday services?
4. Whats next?

At the end of the day Perry asked all pastors to stand up.  He then asked all the people to lay hands on their pastors and let them know they had his back and would fight with him.  You talk about a humbling experience.  To see your people crying and praying over you.  Many did let me know they had my back and would fight to win this city.  THANK YOU to all of you.

Thank you New Spring for doing Unleashed with such excellence again.  For those who went with me, you were challenged and I pray fervently that God uses you in an awesome way.  I'm begging God that next year we take 100 people with a passion and burden to become better leaders.  Father God, may you have your way with this pastor and this church.

Couple other thoughts:
1. Don't forget we'll be stuffing eggs tomorrow starting a little before 12:00.
2. We need more candy.  If your coming to stuff eggs please stop and get some single wrapped candy.
3. This Sunday we start PMS, the man series.  I can promise you one thing, every single individual will be challenged.
4. Several people have asked me about  Deb"s back.  It is doing much better.  She still hurts, but nothing like it was.
5. Saw a lot of pastor fiends yesterday.  I love hearing what God is doing all over.

Have a great weekend and I'll see you Saturday and Sunday hopefully.
