March 30, Thoughts on Sunday

We concluded our PMS, the man series yesterday and our topic was a hot one, sex.  A few of my thoughts:
* So nice to see the sun shining on a Sunday morning.  Everything is turning green and is gorgeous.
* I'm not sure how to explain what I'm feeling as I write this.  Seeing all the hard work coming to fruition is unexplainable.  As I turned around during worship and scanned over the crowd I realized something.  The place is almost full and I don't have a clue who the majority of people are.  And as good as it is, there is still so much to come.  S many lives to be changed.  Marriages to be saved.  Hurt turned into joy.  As overjoyed as I am I realize just how much work their is still to be done.
* We discussed Hebrews 13:4, keeping the marriage bed pure.  Love talking about sex.  Always brings some tension.
* I laughed so hard during the "Business TIme" video.  Love hearing people laugh so hard.
* The video of me marrying Chris & Melissa in my bed was awesome.  Love the way technology helps teach God's Word.
Had some people tell me they didn't know if it was alright to laugh at either video until everyone else was laughing.
* IT IS OK TO HAVE FUN AT CHURCH!  Never forget that.  Jesus loves seeing his children enjoying worship.
* Worship was great.  So glad Andrea is singing again.  She adds a lot to the stage.
* Tim and Jeniffer nailed their solos.  Our band rocks.
* I know some people got upset about some of the things I said.  When truth is taught that always happens.
* A few of the things said that might have upset a few people:
"Watching porn and masturbating is not keeping the marriage bed pure."
"Oral sex is sex"
"Living together is not keeping the marriage bed pure."
"The couples I know of that were both virgins are still happily married and have a great sex life."
"Having sex with your spouse but fantasizing about someone else is not keeping the marriage bed pure."
* This stuff happens with so many married couples.
* Loved ending the service by encouraging couples to go home and have some business time.
* We set an all time attendance record.
* Kid Zone set a record also.  They had 230.  It was unbelievable.
* Picking children up after both services was controlled chaos.  We will be talking about ways to improve this during staff meeting.
* Had a ton of visitors.  Met so many new people.  Cool thing, they came to me after both services telling me just how much they loved it and would be back next week.  You talk about getting me jacked up.
* Thank you Father God for all your doing.

Some other thoughts:
* Our egg drop is this Saturday.  I am stoked.  Begging God for beautiful weather.  No plan B.
* We have 200 people signed up to help with egg drop.  Yeah baby.  All we want them to do is love on people.
* I'm going up in that hot air balloon one time.  Never done that before.  Can the balloon handle a 300 pound man?
* As of now we have close to 150,000 stuffed plastic eggs.  2,000 hot dogs.  10 inflatables.  Snow cones, cotton candy, pop corn and thousands of drinks to give away.  IT is going to be awesome.
* As I write this I'm waiting on Hudson to wake up.  Getting ready to head to hospital to see Grayson.  Hope he is feeling better.
*  Lawson and Michelle need some rest.
* Easter is only two weeks away.  Great momentum heading into Easter weekend.
* Invite, invite, invite.  Great opportunity to reach UNCHURCHED people.
* Had one of our families tell me they couldn't be there yesterday because they were attending a friends church for their pack a pew Sunday.  Please don't invite people who are regularly attending another church.  We want to reach the unchurched.  If someone is happy at their church, praise God.  Go and get those who are not attending anywhere.
* Can't believe God allows me to be part of such an awesome group of people.
* Heading to the hospital.
