April 5, Thoughts on egg drop

What a day for the history of 5 Point.  The only word I can think of is WOW!  The day couldn't have went any better.  Just a bunch of random thoughts about the day:
* The 200 volunteers did an awesome job.  Heard so many compliments from the people.
* There were over 10,000 people who attended.
* The weather was incredible.
* No trouble form the crowd.  I think having three police officers in attendance helped.
* We gave away
    2,000 hot dogs
    1,600 cotton candies
    2,000 snow cones
    Don't even know how many bags of pop corn
    5,000 plus drinks
    150,000 eggs
* Cloe to 150,000 eggs were picked up off the field
* there were over 30,000 eggs on the age 4 and under field alone and it took 3 minutes to pick them up.  The field was spotless.
* Yes, we lost the balloon, with my son Andrew in it with whose scared of heights.
        Hope to have a video of this on blog tomorrow.
* The balloon got caught in the stadium lights for about 10 seconds.
* Jack, the owner did a great job of getting everything under control.
* After the balloon broke loose we just threw the eggs on the field, had the kids circle the fields and then scream GO!
   It was simply amazing.
* the balloon landed in the field across form Rock Springs.  Andrew is still scared of heights.
* Clean up crew did an amazing job.  Nothing left on premises.
* I spoke to thousands of people.
* Saw visitors on Sunday morning form egg drop.  By the way, set another attendance record this morning.  More on later.
* I'm getting ready to head to Frankie's with the youth so I'm leaving in a minute to hang out with them.
* The food crew worked all day preparing.  You guys were amazing.
* The inflatable were manned at all times.  You guys rock.
* I looked for something to go wrong and couldn't find it.
* Had A LOT of people thank me for this amazing day.

Can I just share form my heart for a second.  I went last night and was overwhelmed how God blessed this event.  I have been part of church things my entire life and this was by far the best I've ever been a part of.  The volunteers knocked it out of the park.  Our church will see fruit from this event for months to come.  People will come to know Jesus from this event.  Easley, you better buckle up for next years event.  Minimum, 5,00,000 eggs.  We will have a helicopter no matter the cost.

5 Point get ready, God is up to something GOD SIZED.

Gotta go get kicked off the go carts at Frankie's.  Its gonna be good.
