April 13, Thoughts on Sunday
What an incredible two weeks we've seen at 5 Point. Our egg drop was a huge success. Momentum leading into Easter services was high. Over 100 people fasted and prayed begging God for BIG things to happen. Here are some thoughts on what God did.
* Saturday night was awesome. The extended worship time was incredible. The band knocked it out of the park.
* As Daniel sang New Creation (while being painted) I was blown away at how powerful it was.
* People actually had their phones out taking pictures. How cool is that?
* Both services Sunday morning were incredible. A LOT of visitors. Some came form people inviting and others from egg drop.
* Here is the best news, 20 people gave their life to Jesus. In the second service I had the people stand and over a dozen stood.
They never hesitated. Popped right up stating they were now believers in Christ. That is awesome!
* The Kid Zone went over 300 or the first time. There were kids everywhere.
* We couldn't do the things were doing without those who volunteer with our children. I see people every week loving on kids.
You guys rock. As I walk through and see my son and grandsons in a safe and friendly environment I get jacked up. Especially
when they are learning about Jesus.
* I never put our attendance on here but today I want to share what God did. Our goal was to go over 1,000. We were so close. We
had 970 people attend worship during our three services. WOW!
* I loved speaking three times. I could get use to that. But for now we'll be back to our regular schedule. 9:30 & 11:00 on Sunday.
No Saturday night service. I'm sure we'll be having three services on Sunday soon.
* Our people did an awesome job of parking across the street. thank you of putting others first.
* I spoke to so many people after all three services who told me they were first time visitors and shared just how much they loved it.
* I'm not sure what to expect this Sunday. But I can promise you one thing, Jesus will be proclaimed no matter what!
* The stage looked great. Really liked the brick work and lights. The black looks better than the carpet.
* Thought the four teens playing the drums during NEw Creation was way toooooo cool.
* Corey Miller nailed the video of Andy and Leigh Ann. When they walked out of the basement holding hands. WOW!
* Thanks Andy & Leigh Ann for being so honest and willing to share. I love personal testimonies.
* The t-shirts I painted are in my office. Several said they thought we should pattern them. They are a mess.
* The Messy series will continue for the next few weeks. Looking forward to what God is going to do with it.
* I wish you could have seen how many people actually held their paint brush up to God and dropped it. The visual was awesome to
watch form the stage. People admitting they have been in control of their life and not Jesus.
* Went home and had a feast. Rested and watched the Masters. What a way to finish an awesome weekend.
Some other thoughts:
* A bunch of our people got up during the last song and left. This caused chaos because we were also trying to take up the offering.
I know your trying to hurry to get your kids but this is really causing a probly. Please be respectful enough to wait until the last song
is over.
* Were going to begin asking people who leave the service to enjoy the rest of the service in the foyer area. We are that serious
about reaching people for Jesus. You know as well as I do when someone leaves everyone puts their focus on that person. When
they come back in everyone looks at them again. We want the focus on Jesus and not someone leaving.
* Our next baptism will be on May 24th. Its going to be an incredible day because due to so many being baptized.
* Need to schedule another New Members class.
* I am going to Africa the end of May and beginning of June. Have over half my funds but still need another $1,500. If you want to give
towards this trip, just let me know. I'll be traing in pastors in a village and speaking. I am so excited about this trip. I'd love to plant
our first church somewhere in Africa.
* Had an awesome time of reading, praying and rejoicing with God this morning. Then I went and swam 20 laps and lifted weights.
Feeling good today.
* We've seen a lot of amazing things happen here lately, but we've only scratched the surface. So many people to reach. So much
hurt and pain.
