April 19, Thoughts on Sunday

A few thoughts on yesterday:
* A lot of life changing decisions were made yesterday.
* Three women stood up in the second service and accepted Jesus as their Savior.
* Another woman gave her life to Jesus with a counselor after the second service.
* I love seeing life change week after week.
* Had Chuck pray with and for me before our services.  Felt a funk hanging over me.  Continued praying during worship and the funk
didn't leave until I opened God's Word and started speaking.
* Not a lot of creativity this morning.  I just wanted to open God's word and teach.
* Worship was great.  Good job Leslie with your solo.
* Tim did a great job with the song at the end of the message.  He found it and suggested it.  Brought the message to a head.
* I so wish people could see the life change taking place every Sunday from my point of view.  I see people begging with their eyes to
   help them.
* Thank you to everyone who waited until the last song was over before leaving.  Offering was much easier to take up.
* Can't wait for baptism on May 24th.  We should have a bunch.
* Attendance was down from last week.  When your reaching unchurched people they don't come every week.
* I love going into the parking lot and watching people pour in.  Something about seeing so many coming to worship that jacks me up.
* You definitely want to be here next week and bring a friend.  A message for EVERYONE.
* Someone brought in a baby after being asked by two people not to do so.  They sat in the middle of the auditorium and were
surrounded by a lot of people.  Told everyone to let it go.  And of course the baby cried.  And of course everyone around them was
distracted.  Please be prepared for me to call them out next time this happens.  I am willing to do whatever it takes to carry out the
vision of this church.  Will it make some people a little uneasy?  yes, but hell is ALOT uneasy!

Some other thoughts:
* Got up earlier than usual this morning.  Hung out with God.
* After dropping off Jacob swam 20 laps and worked out.
* Great staff meeting today.  I love these guys.  They are so committed to Jesus and the vision of this church.
* Dwain asked me about doing a fund raiser so teens could go to camp.  I told him no.  If God's people would give the words fund
raiser would never be brought up.  I hate fund raisers because the people who give are the ones who fund fund raisers.  I
understand his desire, summer camp will cost over $200.00 per teen and several families have two or three kids wanting to go.
I'm going to beg God to prick some hearts and take care of this.
* Dwain did a great job with the teens last night.  Great crowd.  Praying for revival among this group of kids.
* Africa trip is getting closer.  I am so excited about the trip.  Begging God to reveal his plans into me.
* Joe Sangle is coming to town.  debtfreeeasley.com is coming in a few weeks.  More info later in the week.
* Went home yesterdayday and celebrated my wedding anniversary by doing a lot of nothing.  It was awesome.  Played with grand
kids and rested.  Can it get any better?
* This is going to be a very busy week.  Staff retreat this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  We'll be discussing how to take this church
to the next level in all areas.
* Mens camping trip on May 1.  Make sure you let us know your coming so we can get enough food.  It is going to be a blast!
* New Members class on Thursday, May 7th.
* Please make plans to attend our vision casting service on Saturday, May 9th at the New Spring campus in Greenville.  A lot more
about this later in the week.
* I feel so fortunate to be a part of this church.
* Love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
