April 27, Thoughts on Sunday
Some thoughts on yesterdays two worship services:
* Lives were changed and that is what were all about.
* 2 men stood in the first service to accept Christ.
* 6 people stood in the second service to receive Christ.
* Hundreds made other life changing decisions.
* I truly believe hundreds handed the paint brush of their life to Jesus.
* Music rocked!
* I could sing that version of Amazing Grace EVERY SUNDAY! God has broken so many chains in my life.
* I wish you could have seen the tears of repentance and joy that I saw from the stage yesterday.
* So many people walking out were still trying to dry it up. God moved in a lot of lives! Thank you Jesus!
* I went home overwhelmed with what God id doing with our church.
* Attendance was down, not sure why (guess because it was 90 outside) but the spirit was high.
* I've come to a point in my ministry all I truly care about is pleasing Christ. I believe He was pleased this morning.
* Several first time visitors told me just how much they enjoyed it and would be back next Sunday.
* Two youth gave their life to Jesus last night in the youth service. Yeah baby! Life change is taking place.
* One of my good friends worshiped with us today and text me the following message:
Greeted very well, music was excellent and the message was a God send.
Great job to everyone who is making Sunday mornings what they are.
* I ask the question most Sundays, "WHo is looking forward to giving?" More and more people are raising their hands. That is
Life change. People loving Jesus enough to actually trust him with their money.
* Felt like the message connected with most people.
* I am a messed up Pastor.
Some other thoughts:
* Had lunch at Fiesta with Deb & Andrew and then went home and crashed. Felt almost guilt sleeping with it so pretty outside.
* Hope no one thinks badly of me but after my nap I push mowed my front yard and walked with Deb. Wanted to sweat.
* This week we will be looking at what our next steps are since our canvas is now clean. Probably surprise you.
* Africa is getting close. Still praying about some more funds.
* Debt free Easley is in a few weeks. Get signed up of you want to take part on our web-site. www.5pointfellowship.org
* Our staff retreat was incredible. I'll be sharing the 14 points of Nehemiah I took our staff through this week on blog.
* Please make plans to attend our May 9th vision casting at New Spring, Greenville campus.
* Kept both Grand sons last night while Lawson & Shell helped with youth. I love those little boys so much.
* Deb and I start our new home group this Sunday. Gonna be good.
* Swam 20 laps, rode stationary bike 4 miles and lifted chest and bi-cep this morning. I am losing more weight. PROMISE!
* Have a lot to do today. Better get started.
