Aug 10, Thoughts on Sunday
Some thoughts on August 9, 2009 worship services:
* Yesterday was just one of those days where everything clicked.
* Worship was incredible. The band nailed the music, Andrea, Tim and Leslie brought their A game leading us in worship.
* I hate Andrea is leaving us for a year to head to boot camp. You will be missed greatly girl!
* I was a little worried about moving the offering to the beginning of the service but thought it went well.
* Kid Zone was packed out. 200 between the two services. WOW! And this is during the summer.
* Little promo for this fall, "American Jesus" will be the most powerful series we've done in our history.
* Were going to need some more people who love children to begin serving in preparation for the fall.
* Message was well taken and people seemed to enjoy. Good spirit in both services.
* I really enjoyed not having a song at the end and allowing people to just leave.
* If the people of 5 Point will take God's word seriously and begin to live it, we had better hold on.
* Went to Mutts and ate with some friends after the service, it was good food and fellowship.
* Couldn't sleep so I went outside and did some stuff. Forgot it was hanging around 100.
* Home Group was great. I love hanging out with this bunch.
Some other thoughts
* Just finished going over this weeks message with Tim and Corey. I promise you its going to be life changing.
* Tim has a BIG surprise for all of us concerning the music. Doing some stuff we've never done. Hope change doesn't mess you up.
* Deb is in a state of mourning. She is back at Liberty High School as I write this. Miss her being around here all the time.
* Lawson and Michelle are in Charleston for a much deserved vacation. Just the two of them. I hope they have an awesome time of rest, relaxation and all that other stuff that goes on when you get away to the beach with no kids.
* Finish this morning by showing you a e-mail from Renatus. This stuff jacks me up.
Dearest Pastor Dean,
I thank God for you and your family. I hope that yo had a good service. We had good Service also. We had 5 people receive Jesus. This church is growing fast. We had 72 people in attendance.
God bless you. I will Baptize this Saturday. I will take pictures and video for you.
