Aug 17, Thoughts on Sunday

Another good but tough day at 5 Point.  Some of my thoughts:
* Just finished staff meeting.  Sorry so late on getting to my blog.  It has been non stop since 5:45 am.
* Have a meeting at 6:30 so I'll keep try and keep this short.
* Had a technical glitch first service that upset me.  Stuff happens.  Were trying to make sure it never happens again.
* People took a tough message very well.  I could have continued speaking but my heart couldn't take anymore.
* Being honest, I left it all on the stage.  Nothing else to give.
* Topic was, "I believe in God but trust in my money."
* Really glad we took up the offering before the message and not after.  Took away the opportunity from anyone thinking I was speaking because we want more money.
* Heart broken that no one gave their life to Jesus.  Life change took place in other areas.
* I'm not a Blue Grass fan, but the band did an incredible job with the music.  I actually enjoyed it.  Jennifer did great and thought Daniel nailed Sweet Home Alabama.
* Meant what I said at end of message, "if you're not giving to God, don't sing this song."  Song was ,Giving Everything to Jesus.
* Intro video was awesome.  Any time a guy admits he would sleep with a 90 year old man for 2 billion dollars, truth is being shared.
* Corey did a great job putting that clip together.
* Kid Zone was crazy.  Had people literally standing out the door trying to get them checked in.  What a great problem to have.
* Dwain told me this morning they had a great crowd last night with the youth.  Worship was good and saw a bunch of new faces.
* I truly believe were about to see something BIG happen here.  But, we must stay focused on Jesus!
* And yes, there are people going to hell and I blame church people for it because we won't trust God with our money and churches can't do the things God has called them to do.

Few random thoughts:
* 5 Point of Tabora is now the owner of 3 acres.  Thank you everyone who gives.
* Renatus sent me pictures of him baptizing people.  Share with you on Sunday.
* 5 Point will have its fifth birthday in one month.  I can't hardly believe it has been four years.  WOW!  The best is yet to come.
* Please pray for me, I am trying to make some tough decisions about a lot of things.
* Some examples:
       a. we're running 600 plus during the summer.  For us to be a church of 1,000 we gotta make some changes.
       b. for us to reach more people it is going to take more time, effort, volunteers, money and prayer.
       c. home groups, keep them are be done with them?
       d. our free rent runs out in January, what is next.
I think you can understand that I just need guidance in some key areas.  Appreciate your prayers.
* American Jesus is going to be the most incredible series we've ever done.  Starts September 13th.
* Enough for now.
