August 19, Why do I continue to pee on myself

I have a problem in life that I just can't get rid of, I'm 6'6".  It is going away.  No matter where I go I continue to be 6'6".  Now, being this size has opened many doors for ministry but being this tall can also create numerous problems.  Such as:
* hitting head on low door frames.
* free hair cut on ceiling fans
* can not stand up in an air plane
* no leg room in any vehicle, bus or plane
* and worse of all, peeing on yourself.
Let me explain this last one before a few people (especially ladies) get upset because they do not understand the basics of a urinal.  When your 6'6" the urinal is always way too low.  I think they should have a urinal for short people and one for tall people.  When the urinal has been created for short people (as most are) your pee has a long ways to travel before hitting the good smelling block in the bottom.  As your pee is dropping it is gaining speed.  As it hits the block it splatters all over and hits your legs.  So in essence, I pee on myself every time I go into a public bathroom and use the urinal.

You would think I'd learn from my mistakes.  You'd think I would go use the toilet, but no I continue to pee all over myself.  Now granted, I take a paper towel, wet it and wipe my legs down, but you still don't feel clean until you've taken a shower.  What is the point of this somewhat gross and insane blog?  Good question.

I was at Silver bay today for lunch with someone who had really been wanting to meet with me.  After lunch I was thinking about this Sunday (because we had been talking about it) and how God's children seem to run towards sin and not away from it, while peeing all over myself for the millionth time.  And the thought occurred to me, if we want to see change in the outcome of our life we must change our habits.  If I want to stop pee from splashing all over me I must change my routine of peeing.

The same is true for all of us.  No matter how many times you wipe off the sin, you will feel dirty until you change your habits.  Lets get down to the brutal truth, for any change to happy in our lives we must quit pissing all over ourselves.

Some thoughts:
* Just finished this Sunday and it is awesome.  Not because of anything I'm saying but because of what god gave me to say.
* Bring every churched and unchurched friend or family you know.
* Couldn't sleep last night so I got back up and worked on Sunday morning.  Went to bed about 1:00 am.  Got up at 5:30 and hung out with God until 7:00.  Came straight to the office and finished what God was keeping me up for.
* Life change is going to take place and you don't want to miss it.  It could be your life that is changed.
* THIS COULD BE THE ONE.  I am heading for the lake in a little while with a professional guide.  He is getting in my boat to see if there really is a curse on it.  We will see.
* I continue to battle with my weight.  I had lost 12 pounds.  Gained two back over the weekend by being stupid.  Back on track.  Had two really good days.  Lost right at 12 again.  If I could have one good weekend it would make a world of difference.
