Sept 9, Random Thoughts

I have a million things racing through my mind.  Let me share just a fraction of them.  You probably couldn't handle all of them:
* A lot of people fasting to see people give their life to Jesus this Sunday.  Thank you.
* American Jesus kicks off this Sunday and I am jacked up.  Can't wait to teach.
* Begging God to do awesome things this Sunday.
* Sunday night Dwain and the youth will be having their back to school bash called, "IGNITE the flame."
* I am in charge of helping park cars and greeting in the parking lot.  Anyone want to help me welcome hundreds of teens?
* We'll be five years old this Sunday.  Just that thought is messing me up.  Hard to believe it has been five years already.
* I'm personally mailing 20 plus post cards and inviting more for this Sunday, how about you?
* Working on next weeks message.  Tough one.
* Please remember I do not answer comments on this blog that are anonymous.
* Been watching the nines (leadership training found at www.thenines.leadnet.org) and some of it has been amazing.  Listening to guys who have been right where we are and doing what we want to do.  Love it.
* I should be under 290 in one or two days.  I'll be lighter than any time in the history of our church this Sunday.  Still more to go.
* Had to deal with a couple of tough family situations yesterday.  Love helping people but always hurt with them.
* My personal coach (Randy Nichols) has come onto staff part time.  He will be a HUGE addition.
* In fact, he will be teaching our Going Deeper beginning a week from today, September 16th at 7:00 pm.  Child care will be provided.
Topic, "what if everything you learned about being a Christan was wrong?"  Going to be a lot of fun.
* Expecting a huge crowd in the Kid Zone this week.  Remodeled upstairs to give them more room.    How awesome is that?
* Doing a wedding this Friday night.
* Having lunch with Eddie Cox (pastor of Marathon) tomorrow.  Love hanging out with him.
* Thank you to everyone who has been sending me such encouraging e-mails and comments on this blog.  They are truly appreciated.
* Taking my beautiful wife and son to Greenville tonight to have dinner with some of the best friends we"ve ever had.
* Our next series will be entitled, "The Ugly Truth."  It will be a marriage series as raw, honest and in your face as I can make it.  I am sick of Christian marriages falling apart.  Time to get down to the ugly truth.  Already praying through topics.
* Toying with the idea of a Christmas series called "Treasures"
* Corey is working hard to make the Kid Zone stage look as awesome as our new stage.
* Music this week is going to be awesome.
* Taking the family to see Georgia Tech get beat by Clemson tomorrow night.  Go Tigers.
* Ann is going 100 miles an hour trying to get everyone in place to serve.
* Anna and Chrissy are busy helping Ann do a bunch of paper work.
* Love being part of a growing church.
* Just found out Parker doesn't have ALL (leukemia) but arthritis.  Glad to hear.
* Haven't read anything since last Friday.  Miss it.  Gotta get back to reading tonight.
* Begging god to let me know where our permanent home will be.  Could care less, just want to know.  In due time.
* I'm sure we'll be in the Colony for another year.  Working on starting a third service.  See how September goes.
* Haven't been fishing in four weeks and it is about to kill me.  Gotta get back in my boat.
* Need to write more on next Sunday.

Do something totally radical for Jesus today.  Get out of your box.  Trust Him.  Do BIG things for the KING!
