Oct. 6, Twitter
I once said I'd never twitter because no one really cares what I'm doing. But I finally gave into the pressure (from Corey Miller-our tech guy) and started twittering. I have found that it has been helpful in a couple of areas:
1. Has helped me to keep my thoughts to 140 characters. Every communicator needs to know when to land the plane. When you twitter the run way is very short.
2. Allows others to know what I'm doing and some of my thoughts. In fact I just twittered, "My heart is heavy for a good friend. He is literally watching his Dad die a slow death in the hospital. Been there and it's not fun."
3. Allows me to follow some other friends and colleagues.
4. If you want to follow my twitter click here
Random thought about twitter, have you ever wondered what Jesus might have twitted? Probably something like,
* Just raised a guy from the dead, pretty cool!
* Why does Peter always ask so many stupid questions?
* I came to love people and yet so many hate me.
* Just gave a blind man his sight and all the church people are upset.
* Won't be long until I head home, but I'll be coming back soon?
* It hurts so bad, yet I know this is my purpose. I love them so much.
* I'll be back in three days. See you in a few.
* The next time you'll see me is on the other side. Remember, I am always with you.
Couple of other thoughts:
* Going again today to look at a building for our teens. The Realtor didn't show up yesterday.
* I've already had some people asking me if were buying a building. This building is for the teens and were looking at it only to rent.
I want to start doing some other things here on Sunday nights and we may have to eventually have another service on Sunday nights. We can't do that with teens everywhere in the building. So were looking at other options. More info later.
* Looking forward to getting away with the staff Thursday and Friday.
* Tim just fried us all hamburgers down stairs. Very pleasant surprise.
* I am being pressured to open a facebook account. Too much technology for me.
* Pastor Renatus from Africa will be here in 22 days and I can't wait to see him.
* Enough for now. Need to twitter something!
