Jacob 11th birthday

Jacob Arron Herman - 11 years old today
Close to 12 years ago my wife informed me she was pregnant with our third child at the age of 33. I was completely shocked to say the least. Jacob was not planned by us but by his creator. He has kept both of us young and on our toes.
I can remember my Mom screaming at me one day (I think she even cussed) "I hope God gives you a child just like you one day." Mom's wish has come true. Jacob's name is DJ for Dean Junior. The boy looks like me, eats like me, acts like me and runs that mouth like me and loves the game of football. The boy is a Dean Herman clone.
Some really cool facts about my boy:
* Most importantly, Jacob gave his life to Jesus and was baptized at our lake day baptism. Another high light of my life.
* He is a very good football player. Starts both ways on the 11 & 12 year old team and just turned 11.
* Wants to play for the Tigers one day (like his Dad).
* Jacob is in the 5th grade in his first year of Middle School.
* Teachers always love him and brag about his kind heart and desire to help others.
* Makes very good grades. Had all A's and one B on last report card.
* Loves to read. He can read for hours then head outside and rip your head off playing ball.
* Has no desire to hunt and fish with Andrew and myself. Not his thing.
* Is excellent with Hudson and Grayson. They love him to death.
Jacob is a fine young man. He has his moments as all boys growing into manhood but I wouldn't trade him in for anything.
Getting ready to go and have lunch with him at school.
Going out of town tonight to try and kill a deer. Talk to you again on Monday and Tuesday is another weigh in. Down to 299 as of this morning.
