Oct 29, Pastor Renatus
Yesterday morning Tim, Corey, Chuck and myself headed to Atlanta to pick up Pastor Renatus from the airport. One stop on the way, Bass Pro Shops. I love that place. Bought some fishing stuff and shells for one of my pistols. American Air lines had Renatus delivered right on time. And it has been a blast.
We planned out our Sunday morning service on the 2 1/2 hour drive home. I can promise you Sunday is going to be awesome. You will be truly blessed as you hear the heart and vision of Renatus. He always inspires me to do more for the Kingdom because of the trials and tribulations he must endure on a daily basis.
While I was in Africa I promised Renatus and his church I would help train them. In other words, disciple them. Today we began that process. We have been taking the American Jesus series and teaching them to the camera. I share and Renatus translates. Corey will transfer onto a DVD and he will share with his people. This will allow them to hear who Jesus truly is and what He expects form each of His followers.
Tomorrow morning I am taking Renatus fishing. We are both really looking forward to spending the day on the lake and sharing stories about Jesus. I've already began begging god to fill the boat because I know i can't do it. We will be attending the Liberty football game on Friday night. Renatus will help me on the chain gang.
Saturday morning we have sideline passes for the Clemson/Coastal Carolina game. I'm sure he'll be blown away with 80,000 people cheering on the Tigers.
Sunday morning Renatus will help me teach both services. It'll be a question/answer format. On Sunday night I think we'll be attending New Spring.
On Monday Renatus will begin his long trip home. He misses his family dearly.
Please pray for this young man. He is only 28 years old and making such a difference for the Kingdom of God.
Renatus has asked me to stay in Africa for several weeks and teach his church this June. Already began praying about it.
