Nov 2, Thoughts on Sunday
I am sitting in my lazy boy early Monday morning thinking about my time with Renatus. I have enjoyed having him here so much. I know he has learned a great deal while being here, but I believe I have learned even more from him. He is very anxious to get home to his family, friends and church. I feel certain that everyone who took part in our worship services yesterday will remember Renatus for quite a while.
Some thoughts about Sunday:
* There are days when God decides to do something incredible, felt like today was one of those days.
* Worship was great, Melisa did an awesome job with Hosanna.
* Watching videos about Taborra reminded me of my trip to Africa in June.
* Listening to Renatus share about hes vision was incredible.
* 5 Point of Tabora started in June with 11 people and they are now running 120. Over 50 have been baptized with 30 plus waiting to be baptized when Renatus gets home,
* I hope there will be another baptism next June while our team is there so I can watch and take part in.
* Watching the videos of their last baptism and worship jacks me up.
* Having the entire church lay hands on Renatus and praying for him was very powerful.
* But the highlight of the day was Renatus leading us in worship while singing Jesus Paid It All. Not sure there was a dry eye in the house.
* Two different continents were represented, Two different skin colors represented. But the same Lord!
* Listening to Renatus sing in Swayheli and us in American was powerful.
* I challenged the church to give so that a temporary building could be built for the rainy season, and 5 Point stepped up. We needed
$2,500. This will buy the poles and tin needed. We collected $6,000. WOW! The extra will be placed with the funds needed to build the permanent building. Renatus figures $35,000 could build church big enough to hold 400 - 500 people. We have around $7,000 thus far.
* To those who signed up to give one dollar a day towards Africa, and have continued to do so, THANK YOU! For those who signed up and quit giving one dollar a day, oh well, your lost. I know the money is being spent to change lives for the Kingdom and not more American pleasures,
Some other thoughts about Renatus:
* Renatus just pulled out of my driveway with Turn and Corey headed to Atlanta. Gonna miss that rascal.
* He has asked me to stay in Tabora for a month in June to teach his people and all pastors in the area, I am seriously considering it.
Have already begun praying about it. God will have to speak to Deb also. Not sure she could do without me that long.
* Took Renatus to New Spring last nigh. Met with Perry before the service, toured the entire building. And Perry had him stand and introduced him. They gave him a huge round of applause. It was awesome.
* Renatus will be home soon.
* And while he is traveling people will continue to die and burn in hell for eternity. I am as jacked up about reaching this city as I've ever been. 5 Point of America, it is time to get really serious about reaching this city. BLACK and WHITE.
* One final thought. I dread weighing in tomorrow in front of millions of followers. I fed Renatus well and ate pretty good with him. Taking Jacob to school and heading for the gym. Hope I didn't gain any.
* Going to doctor at 10:00 to try and get rid of this crud in my throat and chest.
Have a great week everyone!
