Nov. 5, Random Thoughts
A lot is running through my head right now. Let me share some of it.
* The smell of polyurethane - they applied another coat downstairs. Entire staff is high. Someone said people pay good money to feel like this. Be glad when we have fresh air again.
* Several questions about the money given last Sunday for Africa. Let me answer them for you:
a. we took in $6,000
b. where will it be spent? We gave $100 to Renatus to travel with and use for his family. $250 will be used to buy mosquito nets
for leper colony. $2,500 or more will be spent on rainy season building. Rest put towards the $35,000 needed for permanent
building to be built in future.
c. Renatus should be getting into Tabora as I write this.
* The Africa mission trip is in June and will cost a minimum of $3,000. Airplane alone is $2,000.
* Praying through teen center. Going to cost more than anticipated (as every building does) want to be sure in center of God's Will.
* If I had to make decision now, we'd go for it. Just wanting to be sure before pulling trigger.
* Important meetings on Monday to get all the cost together.
* Vision messages next two weeks. Going to share what we'll be doing in the year of 2010. Hold on 5 Point.
* I am bothered with the American church. We have to lead the way in making changes.
* Continue to lose weight. Think I'm below 290. first time
* Taking Deb on a get away trip Friday night. Look forward to getting away.
* I will be here Sunday for our "Pick Your Team" Sunday. Wouldn't miss its
* Don't forget to wear your favorite team jersey or shirt.
* Bring tailgating stuff, especially chairs. We'll be grilling hot dogs for everyone after both services.
* Can you believe November is already here and Christmas stuff is coming out.
* Also, notice the complete absence of Jesus in all Christmas decorations. What is wrong with that picture?
* Be prepared this Sunday to make a stand. Are you serving Jesus or the world?
* About to head to lunch with someone who has a desire to take church to another level with our volunteers. Love it
* Next week Tim and Corey will be going to a conference to better prepare them for the tech side of church. Glad not me.
* As i continue praying, thinking, studying for our Ugly Truth series I am heart broken. Divorce is destroying the American family.
Hopefully, this series will be an eye opener. Going to ask some people to bare their souls on the big screen. It is ugly but it is the truth. May God do something incredible.
* Every week during December we'll all be challenged to do something putting Jesus back into Christmas. Gonna be fun.
* Love what is happening at 5 Point. Can't wait for to see what is around the corner.
* Saved the best for last; got to lead a man to Jesus yesterday. ALWAYS jacks me up. He was broken and empty. begged god to come into his life. Look forward to watching the change in him.
* See you sundry.
