March 22, Thoughts on Sunday
Some thoughts on yesterday:
* Tough message to teach. Brought back some old memories I have tried to forget.
* Discussed being focused on our kids and not everything else.
* Seeing so many young people stand and admit they want parents not friends was special.
* I hope our parents will wise up and get into the fight.
* Worship was great. Loved Tim singing Cats N the Cradle before message.
* American Dream has always been one of my favorites. Great song to finish the day.
* Met several visitors again yesterday. Had some very encouraging words about 5 Point.
* We have great momentum going into our egg drop and Easter services.
* The Kid Zone kicked off their new series yesterday and it went really well.
* Had some changes in picking up kids and some parents got a little upset. Just trying to make pickup go quicker.
* Thanks to all those who stayed for the meeting after our second service. Want to be ready for three services next week.
* Special thank you to all our volunteers. You guys rock and your making a difference in this community.
Some other thoughts:
* To say that its busy around here is an under statement. Getting ready for egg drop, Easter Sunday and three services.
* Can't wait to see how our volunteers step up and dominate three services next week.
* This will give us a bunch of empty seats for Easter and the much needed space in Kid Zone.
* Remember, we're asking all our folks to attend the 1st or 3rd service for worship and serve during 2nd. Times are 9:15, 10:45 and 12:15.
* Tim is meeting with the principal of Easley High as I type this. He is going to allow the helicopter to take off from their parking lot.
This is huge. Easley recreation didn't want helicopter to land on any of their fields so now we have somewhere close.
* Who are you inviting to Easter Sunday?
* Statistics prove that 25% of people would be willing to go to church if someone just invited them.
* Starting new series Easter Sunday, "The life you were meant to live." Gonna be good!
* It was raining yesterday. Street preacher didn't show up.
* Got a lot to do this week so I want to get started.
* Invite people to church. Talk about Jesus this week. Do something out of your box for Jesus. Look for ways to help others.
