April 12, Thought os Sunday

Another good day at 5 Point.  Andrew, my 21 year old son is my toughest critic.  He will tell me in a heart beat if a service stinks or not.  Said yesterday, "we had been on a roll".  I feel the same way.  I'm convinced God is doing some cool stuff at 5 Point right now.  Here are some of my thoughts on yesterday:
* Absolutely gorgeous day
* People gave their life to Jesus again today.  I love it.
* Andy Fields brought a friend and his friend was one of the men saved.  That is how it should work every Sunday.
* Had a bunch of visitors again yesterday.  I always enjoy meeting new people and hearing their thoughts on 5 Point.
* Good to see Daniel on the stage again.  He did awesome singing "New Creation."
* Singing "He Loves Us" at the end of the message was amazing.  I could sing that song every day.
* Was worried about a huge drop off in the crowd from last week.  We lost over 300 people last year from Easter Sunday to the next.  Not this year.  We did drop 130 but that isn't bad.
* Our volunteers rock.  So many worship at 9:15 and then serve at the 10:45 and 12:15.  Thank you everyone.  Every time someone comes to know Jesus you play a part in their salvation.
* Kid Zone was rocking again yesterday.  Michelle and her volunteers are simply amazing.
* God never ceases to amaze me.  Asked how many people struggle with letting their past go so they can better serve God, at least 80 % of the people raised their hands.
* The statement God gave me was, "we must move from our past and into his future."  So true!
* Thank you Lord Jesus for all your doing here at 5 Point Church.

Some other thoughts:
* My Grandma passed away Saturday morning.  Loved her so much but glad she is finally home.  Thought about going to Walla Walla but won't be able to make the trip.  Grandma knows how much I loved her.
* Three services are going great but we didn't pick up as many as we had hoped for in the third.  No reason to continue just to say we have three services.  This Sunday will be the last of the 12:15.  We'll continue with the 9:15 and 10:45.
* Starting up a new Life Group at my house this Sunday.  Can't wait.  If you're a couple looking for a group, just let me know.  Hope your not scared of a crowd, we pack them in.
* I will have been married for 30 years next week.  What do you buy a woman who has put up with me for 30 years?
