April 14, Slowing Down
Life is way too busy any more. Deb and I we're trying to find a night in my day timer that was empty and it just wasn't there. I am amazed at how Americans have allowed the pace of life to get so crazy, self included. But the fact of the matter is, life is just busy. What frightens me is that with so much busyness certain things get excluded. And one of the first is our time with Jesus Christ. And the more time we spend away from Christ the closer to the world we become.
Jesus Christ was a very busy man also. But he made time to spend with the Father.
Mark 1:35-37
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. [36] Simon and his companions went to look for him, [37] and when they found him, they exclaimed: "Everyone is looking for you!"
May we never become so busy we exclude Christ from our life. Let me encourage you to be like Christ and start your day witht the Father.
