April 26, Thoughts on Sunday

Continue to be amazed at what God is doing at 5 Point.  Some thoughts on yesterday:
* Another incredible day.  4 people accepted Jesus, went back and spoke to counselors.
* I could stop right now and yesterday was amazing, but there was so much more.
* Hundreds of people committed to submit their life 100% (holding nothing back) to Jesus.
* Several first time visitors came and introduced themselves to me and shared just how much they loved the service.  This has been happening every week for a while now.
* Continue to see visitors from egg drop.
* Walked through Kid Zone between services.  Kids were everywhere dancing and laughing havinga blast.  Warriors for Christ are being developed every week in the Kid Zone.
* Had a bunch of technical difficulties in first service.  Video projector just shut down.  No words during songs and that meant no projector during message.  I would be fine except for the fact I was showing 12 pictures to begin the message.  I was coming up with plan B when it suddenly came back on.
* Set up the scaffolding and changed the filter in between services, and it happened again.  Corey worked feverishly to get it working again.  I think he found the problem.  We will be doing some test runs this week.
* Worship was awesome.  Tim did a great job changing to songs we knew and didn't need the words.
* Give it all to Him following the message was incredible.
* Watching hundreds of people sing a covenant to submit their entire life to Jesus jacks me up.
* Saw new faces serving.  I use to be able to name every volunteer.  Sometimes I wonder now if I'm at the right church.
* Always scared when its as pretty as it was yesterday if anyone will show up.  Attendance didn't miss a beat yesterday.
* Concluded the series, "The Life You Were Meant to Live."  We'll begin conversations with Jesus next.
* Went home and slept for two hours.  It was amazing.
* After napping, my hot wife and I went for a ride in the jeep.
* Had another big group come hang out at the Herman's for our life group.  Harry & Cindi did a great job with the low country boil.  It was some kind of good.  Love getting to know more of our people.
* Encourage everyone to get into life group.  This is where true Christian community takes place.

A few other thoughts:
* Several people fasting with me about some major decisions.  Please pray for us.
* Only 5 weeks to Africa.  Some of our team needs help with finances.  Wanna help?  Promise you every dime will be used to change lives for the gospel of Christ.
* Fished in a striper tournament Saturday and actually won the thing.  Check out the picture below.
