April 28, Facebook

Why is it that Americans always take something good and turns it into something evil?  Some examples:
* God created sex to be incredible between a husband and wife.  Look what we've done with it in America.
* Food - all you have to do is walk out the door and you'll see a country that is obese.  We're supposed to eat to live, not live to eat.
* Welfare system - enough said?  There are times people need help but America has allowed our system to turn into a joke.  So many using the welfare system as a way of life.

The reason for this rant, another way of Americans taking a good thing and turning it into evil is facebook.  Before all of you who are involved in facebook go nuts; understand my wife is a facebook fan.  She has connected with a bunch of high school buddies.  We're able to see family pictures we wouldn't have seen before.  She enjoys seeing what others are doing.  But, America has taken something that is used for good and turned it into evil.

I told countless people two years ago that facebook would be nothing but a place for affairs to begin.  That statement is coming true.  This past Sunday a woman poured her heart out to Deb about her husband leaving her.  Where did he meet this woman, facebook!  I just got off the phone with a woman who is on the verge of spreading her legs for a man that is not her husband.  And where did this affair get started, facebook!

I have personally spoken to countless spouses who are tired of their spouse always having their nose in a computer screen.  And this goes for both genders.  Spouses, please spend time with each other and not a computer because if you don't, that affair just might be your spouse.

And keep an eye on what your kids do on facebook.  I am shocked at some of the pictures I see of kids.  If you ever see a Herman with indecent stuff on facebook I expect some of you to let me know.  We're in this thing called life together.  Enough on this  for today.
