May 24, Thougts on Sunday
Another good day at 5 Point Church. Some of my thoughts:
* On a message about prayer a woman gave her life to Jesus during the second service. Thank you Lord Jesus.
* Worship was great. Band did an awesome job.
* Spoke to several first time visitors after both services. Found out a lot of them came because they were invited by some of you. Great job! All of them introduced themselves to me and shared just how much they enjoyed it.
* A lot of people brought in bottles filled with coins. Will give you a total later in the week once counted.
* Thank goodness we found someone to count for us.
* Love having everything outside rather than in our small foyer. So much more room and the atmosphere is awesome.
* Beautiful day outside yesterday. Loved hanging outside greeting people and fellowshiping.
* A simple message about prayer. Answered the following questions:
a. Does God hear the prayers of an unsaved person.
b. How am I supposed to pray?
c. How can I know the voice of God?
* Some Sundays I feel as if I hit a home run and others like I struck out. Felt as if yesterday was a solid hit.
* Can you imagine the power of our church if we really began to pray?
* Remember, great prayer = great power. Little prayer = little power and no prayer = no power.
* I feel certain the majority of people in churches today rub on the Jeanie Jesus lamp verses building a relationship with Him.
Some other thoughts:
* Had a church consultant hang out with us yesterday. He is helping the staff understand what we do well and what we need to improve on. Had a lot of good things to say this morning but there are some areas we must improve on.
* Thanks to all who gave towards the wells. As promised, every dime will be spent to dig wells.
* I will be in the air one week form today.
* Baptism this Sunday.
* I'm taking Thursday and Friday off this week and hanging out with the family. Never been separated this long from them.
* Going to get my final shot and malaria pills this afternoon.
Have a great week!
