I've already heard the question, "how many kids will we be sponsoring?"  The answer lies with our people.  How many are willing to give $30 a month for the next ten years?  This isn't like asking for a dollar a day to build the church last year.  This is for a child living under a tree somewhere.  You can't stop giving because you need a bigger tv.  Before you agree to sponsor a child, please pray through this. 

We also need some people to sponsor Richard as he lives in Africa.  And we will need sponsors for Peter and his family.  He is the man who will be living in one of the rooms and running the orphanage.  We only have $4,000 remaining in the Africa building fund.  Hoping a bunch of people will pick up the dollar a day again this year.

Can't wait to see what God is going to do through 5 Point of America to change the lives of many in Africa.

Couple of important thoughts:
* Since we have been in the Colony we've always done a free 4th of July event for our city.  Last year I was asked to meet with the mayor the following week.  He shared that all the vendors were upset because we were giving away everything they were selling and they weren't coming back if we continued giving away food. (Valid point)  This year the city is trying to have a much better event and it is going to last three days.  With all this in mind were allowing the city to host the entire event.  We will not be sponsoring any events.  But we will 100% for sure be worshiping at 9:15 and 10:45.
* On July 18th the Kid Zone will be leading our two morning services.  We are allowing all children to come and show us old folks how they worship every week.  What a great opportunity for families to come together and worship, kid style.  Children of all ages will be allowed into the service.  This will give our Kid Zone workers a break also.  Should be a blast!
