Sept. 20, Thoughts on Sunday
Amazes me how god continue to bless 5 Point. Some thoughts on yesterdays service:
* Want to begin by thanking God for even allowing me to be a part of 5 Point Church and blessing the way He is.
* We continue to see major life change and that truly keeps me getting out of the bed everyday.
* People accepted Christ yesterday.
* Topic of the day, how we're destroying our witness with our facebook accounts.
* I can honestly say I was worried about a few people getting so upset they might leave because I saw their pages. But I have to say what God lays on my heart.
* Here is the cool thing. Some of the very ones I was worried about left me messages on facebook thanking me for the message.
* Had over 40 comments this morning of people letting me know how much they appreciated me opening their eyes.
* A LOT of people went home and cleaned up their pages.
* That is MAJOR LIFE CHANGE!
* A lot of our band was helping lead at a conference yesterday. Had two friends step in. Kevin and Hannah Lockaby stepped in and did and awesome job. Kevin sang on line and tore it up.
* Our volunteers continue to amaze me. The way they step up and serve others is awesome. Thanks guys!
* A bunch of first time visitors again. I know some loved it because they came to me after the service and thanked for what were doing.
* People who had given their life to Jesus last week came and intorduced themselves to me and thanked me for 5 Point and everything were doing. Can I be honest with you. That could happen one million times and never get old.
* Had some people leave because they couldn't take their kids into auditorium. I hate that, but we will never change that rule. I am too serious about reaching those far from God. It was a churched family anyway.
Some other thoughts:
* Shared with the youth again and loved it. Really enjoy hanging out with our teens.
* Seeing new faces and life change taking place. I'm convinced we can get to 100 by Christmas.
* Baptism this Saturday at Lake Keowee. Baptizing 20 plus people. One of my favorite times of the year. If you want to join the fun, come on. Need any info call the church office at 850-0580.
* Had a person tell me they were never coming back to the church on facebook because I didn't accept their friend request. Assured them it was because I never received it. Saw it today. I just don't stay on there 24/7 like some people. Assured him with message today that I wanted him to be my friend.
* A lot of stuff going on in my life right now. Major decisions to be made. A LOT of them. I could really use your prayers at this time.
And yes, Carolina looks really good. And yes I watched Clemson Saturday night. And yes, I am sick and tired of all you Carolina fans giving me a hard time. Its not like I have any control over the games. You act like I say stuff about Carolina all the time
Going to watch my boy hit someone tonight and can't wait.
