Dec 8, Lepers mess me up EVERYTIME
On the last day of our trip we took rice, corn and soap to the leper Colony. This is my fourth time and it ALWAYS messes me up. I leave different. I leave truly appreciating just how blessed I am. I'm going to allow the pictures to do my talking today:
This is the market in which we bought the corn. The money was donated by several 5 Pointers.

After I paid for the corn 3 African men grabbed me by the arms and made me get on the scale.
They weren't use to seeing "Big Sexy." After weight came up they scattered laughing.

We paid this taxi to carry the corn to Leper Colony. Think we gave him $5.00.

Here you can see some of the lepers colony gathering to receive their allotment of corn and rice.

Please notice the hands and feet of the two men in front. You can see that the leprosy has eaten
them away. Truly breaks my heart every time I see it.

When I see the way so many others live it helps me to realize just how blessed I truly am. Helps me to remember I have NO REASON to ever complain. I said this earlier in the week but worth repeating. When you have everything its hard to see God's blessings. But when you have nothing you truly appreciate God blessing you. The leper colony was so appreciative of some corn, rice and soap. Humbles me to think how unappreciative I am of the MANY BLESSINGS I receive on a daily basis.
